Quarry Gardens in Nanning Garden Expo Park won 2021 Landscape Institute (LI) Winner Award in Landscape Design
2021.11.252018年中国国际园林博览会的场地东南角有一片采石区,设计团队将其中较完整的7个采石场转变为展会中各具特色的区域。针对不同采石场的地貌特征,团队采取差异化的植被修复方法和人工介入措施。最终,采石场花园在保留场地独特历史和风貌特色的同时,融入园艺和景观艺术的主题中,展示出采石废弃地多样的更新方式。
There is a quarry area in the southeast corner of the site, and the design team transformed seven of the more complete quarries into distinctive areas of the exhibition. According to the geomorphic characteristics of different quarries, the team adopted differentiated vegetation restoration methods and artificial intervention measures. In the end, the quarry Garden, while preserving the unique history and character of the site, integrates the theme of horticulture and landscape art to show the various ways in which quarry wastelands can be renewed.

With the large-scale development and the increasing reduction in land resources of coastal area, the landscape in Xiamen east coastal area is gradually losing the originally rich site memory and local characteristics, as well as the ecological diversity and vitality, facing risks of multiple natural disasters. In response, landscape architects proposed a targeted protective plan with varied intervention degree and renewal strategies by identifying, assessing and mining the value of existing on-site resources.

Jinquan River Waterfront Park: Resilient Renewal of Urban Waterfront Space won Award of Excellence of 2021 IFLA Asia-Pacific Region Built-Parks and Open Space Category
2021.10.18金泉河滨河公园处于河流的中游,位于市中心,全长5.1公里,总面积为52.35公顷,于2019年建成。该项目将已设计和未充分利用的滨江改造为具有生态、社会和文化功能的风景城市绿色廊道,包括适应洪水、促进河川步行、为大众活动提供公共空间等。它也重塑了城市和河流之间的关系。
Located in the midstream of Jinquan River and in the center of the city, with a length of 5.1 kilometers and a total area of 52.35ha, Jinquan River Waterfront Park is promoted as the first phase of the entire river corridor. The renewal of Jinquan River waterfront has transformed an underutilized engineering riverfront into a scenic urban green corridor with ecological, social and cultural functions, including the resilience to the flood, promoting riverfront walk, providing open spaces for public activities, ect.. It also reshapes the relationship between the city and the river. -

The spirit of Chengdu contains the integration of multiple cultures. And the Expo Park locates at the heart of the new district,enables the surrounding areas to promote each other, and becomes the engine for future green development. The core plan idea of the Expo Park is trying to balance the Expo landscape process between past and future, nature and the city. All the strategy should be built on the premise of protecting the agricultural landscape. -

In response, landscape architects proposed a targeted protective plan with varied intervention degree and renewal strategies by identifying, assessing and mining the value of existing on-site resources.The final plan is a coherent, accessible, comfortable and safe coastal recreational corridor with diversified vitality, linking the original unique traditional production, industrial sites and rural settlements as well as the new city area under construction, constructing a time tunnel connecting the history and the future, the city and the nature, the living creatures and the sea, the culture and the life intimacy, and realizing the win-win development of the region in terms of the nature, the economy and the culture. -

2021.09.30第十二届中国(南宁)国际园林博览会于2020年12月6日开幕,作为以景观专业牵头的设计总包项目,园博园在全过程工程组织管理,生态可持续景观规划策略,以及自然山水造园手法上均有一定的独特性,并积累了丰富的实践经验。设计遵循土石清理、安全避让、崖壁修整、植被恢复、路径介入、文化再生六大策略,以实现模拟自然演替的生态植被系统,保障安全稳固的矿坑山水风貌,最小环境干预的多样游览体验。
The 12th China (Nanning) International Garden Expo Park opened on December 6, 2020. As a design contract project led by landscape professionals, the Expo Garden has certain uniqueness in the whole process of engineering organization and management, ecological sustainable landscape planning strategy, and natural landscape gardening techniques, and has accumulated rich practical experience. The design follows six major strategies: soil and rock cleaning, safety avoidance, cliff wall trimming, vegetation restoration, path intervention, and cultural regeneration, so as to achieve an ecological vegetation system that simulates natural succession, ensure a safe and stable landscape style of the mine, and provide diversified sightseeing experience with minimal environmental intervention.
