With the aggravation of global climate change and the development of the city, Bortala is facing many problems and challenges in terms of nature and culture. Based on scientific analysis and quantitative research, the plan proposes the overall goal of “A Museum of Nature and Culture without Walls”. The planning team implemented a three-step planning process – spatial identification, integration planning and node design. By combining the rich natural and cultural resources along the Bortala River, the relationship between ecological protection and economic and social development will be properly coordinated to create a resilient future for Bortala. -

2022.08.30成都环城生态公园是公园城市建设的核心项目,位于城市中心区外围,总面积133.11平方公里。规划旨在整合、利用现有城市内外各建设片区之间分散的开放空间,形成“环状+楔形”区域尺度绿色空间的纽带,塑造连贯、有韧性的、有吸引力和承载多元场景的公园系统。
Chengdu Eco-Park Belt is the flagship project for the "Park City". It locates in the periphery of the city center with a total area of 133.11 km2. This project aims to integrate the fragmented "residual" open spaces between the existing construction areas inside and outside the city (including road green belts, river corridors, wetlands, farmland, hills, country parks, and brown field after the demolition of industrial plants, etc.), and form a successive "ring+ wedge" regional green belt, and create a coherent, resilient, attractive, and multi-scenario park system. -

2022.01.19场地上共7个采石场,有的已停采了几年。对于7个采石场,根据其特征,因地制宜,保留采石场景观的多样性,运用多种修复方式,进行一定程度的人工干预,展现多样的景观类型和生态修复的多种可能,通过艺术性的介入提升景观的价值,通过不同的游径设计让人们参与体验,感受到每个采石场的恢复状况。同时,通过路径的组织,设计语言的整体性,以及原有水渠的联系性,使得这7个采石场又能够成为一个整体。
There are seven quarries on the site, some of which have not been mined for several years. For the 7 quarries, according to their characteristics, according to local conditions. The design retains the diversity of the quarry landscape, uses a variety of restoration methods, carries out a certain degree of manual intervention, shows a variety of landscape types and a variety of ecological restoration possibilities, enhances the value of the landscape through artistic intervention, and allows people to participate in the experience through different trail design to feel the restoration status of each quarry. At the same time, through the organization of the paths, the integrity of the design language, and the connection of the original canals, the seven quarries can become a whole. -

2021.12.21该计划的理念强调了对剩余传统生态模式的谨慎保护,这些模式沿着梳状灌溉渠道系统排列,并为所有区域的景观资源建立了一个包括土壤表面、水系、农田、植被、栖息地、历史遗迹、绿道和视觉通廊在内的8层数字数据库平台。这个项目是一个宝贵的探索,通过提供系统性的解决方案,在快速城市化时代,重新连接城市居民与大都市区域公园系统。
The idea of the plan emphasises the cautious conservation of remaining traditional ecological patterns on a comb-like irrigation canal system, and sets up a digital database platform for all-area landscape resources by 8 layers, including soil surface, water system, farmland, planting, habitats, historic relics, greenways and visual corridors. This project is a valuable exploration to provide systematic solutions for reconnecting urban residents with the regional park system in mega-city areas in the rapidly urbanising era.

2021.12.21富顺原为古江阳县治域,因盐井的开采逐渐聚人成邑,沱江也成为盐业运输的水道和县城居民生活用水的命脉。为降低洪泛风险,富顺城选址于沱江内湾,并在古城墙与河道间预留了一定的洪泛空间,除古城墙具有一定的防洪功能外,城内西湖也具备洪涝调节的功用。这种在当时生产力条件下与自然紧密融合的适应性景观,满足了生产、生态、生活的“三生”服务需求,体现了中国传统、朴素的弹性营城智慧,保障了富顺近2000年的持续发展。
Fushun was originally a governing area of ancient Jiangyang County, and gradually gathered people into a city because of the mining of salt Wells. Tuojiang River also became the waterway of salt industry transportation and the lifeblood of the county residents' living water. In order to reduce the risk of flooding, Fushun City is located in the inner bay of the Tuojiang River, and a certain flood space is reserved between the ancient city wall and the river course. In addition to the flood control function of the ancient city wall, the West Lake in the city also has the function of flood regulation. This adaptive landscape, which was closely integrated with nature under the productive conditions at that time, met the service needs of production, ecology and life, reflected the Chinese traditional and simple flexible urban wisdom, and guaranteed the sustainable development of Fushun in the past 2000 years.

Quarry Gardens in Nanning Garden Expo Park won Shortlist in Nature Context-Landscape from 2021 World Architecture Festival
2021.11.26设计针对每个采石场的特征,提出矿坑生态修复和景观再生的综合技术途径,通过契合场地地貌和景观特征的设计,对这些采石场进行生态修复。我们在采石场区域设计了一个600m²的信息亭和一系列景观构筑。木结构的建筑呼应了当地乡土建筑的形式。
According to the characteristics of each quarry, the design puts forward a comprehensive technical approach of ecological restoration and landscape regeneration of the mine, and carries out ecological restoration of these quarries through the design that fits the landform and landscape characteristics of the site. We designed a 600 m² pavilion and a series of landscape structures in the quarry area. The wooden structure echoes the form of local vernacular architecture.
